‘Namaste Trump’: A Grand Welcome Awaits US President’s Arrival

 

 

 

 

 

As the US President, along with his family and a ministerial delegation will kick start India tour on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that his visit will further strengthen the friendship between the two countries.

Starting his nearly 36 hour-long visit, President Trump will first land in Ahmedabad where the first couples of US will be attending ‘Namaste Trump’, organised for their grand welcome at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Cricket Stadium, the world’s largest stadium.

As per reports, Trump and Modi are likely to focus on a wide variety of bilateral and regional issues including trade and investment, defence and security, counter-terrorism, energy security, religious freedom, proposed peace deal with Taliban in Afghanistan and situation in the Indo-Pacific.

They will also be visiting Agra and Delhi during their stay.
