PM Modi Slams Opposition, Assures No Indian will be affected by CAA

 

 

 

 

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday assured the Parliament that no citizen of India would be affected by the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

The Prime Minister quoted the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru who favoured amending the law, if required, to ensure that minority refugees from neighbouring countries be granted protection by India.

Modi said certain political parties are furthering Pakistan’s agenda of divisiveness in India. He also slammed opposition leaders for sharing the stage with the anti-CAA protesters who raised slogans to divide India.
